Coffee C2C Square Project – Square 4

Tiny Coffee C2C Afghan Square free crochet pattern by DivineDebris.com

Hi everyone! So… the C2C square is a week early this month because I have something planned for next week that I needed to release on a specific day for a blog hop, not that you need to know that now. Instead, let’s talk about the Tiny Coffee C2C Afghan Square that’s out today!

This square is half the size of the previous 3 squares and that’s because I wanted to get creative with the sizing for the squares. I hope that makes sense. In my head I’ve got a picture of the blanket I want to make and each row has 2 big squares and 2 small, stacked, in a total of 3 rows. Don’t worry, these tiny squares will be cute and simple and make great blankets on their own. I think next month is going to be a tiny coffee bean. 😀

I don’t know, maybe I should have mixed up size next year, on a different CAL where I wasn’t also working with a new to me technique. Maybe I’m doing too much? Maybe the social distancing and isolation is getting to me. I can’t say for certain any of that. But I do hope you like this tiny square and decide to make it. It took me no time to work up and I think a whole blanket of these would be so cute… for someone who loves coffee. But who would do that? 😉

Oh, I just realized I should have named this the espresso shot square! Because it’s cute and small but still rockin’. Ha!

Like all the C2C squares, I followed industry standards, I decided to have the written instructions in the pdf only and below is the graph. If you find you’d rather have the instructions written out for you, I do hope you’ll purchase the pdf.

Happy crocheting! I hope you like the Tiny Coffee C2C Afghan Square <3

Please note: I was provided the yarn for this pattern by Lion Brand Yarn for the purposes of making this design, with compensation. I wasn’t provided the yarn with the expectations of positive or negative reviews but I did enjoy using this yarn, it’s a great cotton yarn I will be using again.

Notes

  • As is industry standard, this pattern is just a free graph and not written instructions but you can purchase the pattern for free in my Ravelry shop.
  • This is a C2C pattern worked from the bottom right corner to the top left corner.
  • This pattern is a square, so you don’t have to worry about increasing on one side and decreasing on the other.
  • Each C2C square consists of 3 double crochets and a ch-3. The directions will only tell you what color (ie: Color A, Color B, etc…) and the number tells you how many squares to make.
  • Check out the tutorial by Meghan Makes Do on how to do C2C designs if you’re unfamiliar on this technique.
  • You will need to know how to change colors in a C2C for this pattern.
  • Rows 1 – 18 you will be increasing and rows 19 – 35 you will be decreasing.
  • The even numbered rows are worked down and the odd numbered rows are worked up. The even numbered rows are the Right Side.
  • In the photos: Color A is cream (Lion Brand Yarn Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling in Ecru 1.5 oz/79 yds) and color B is pink (Lion Brand Yarn Basic Stitch Anti-Pilling in Hot Pink 1.5 oz/ 79 yds).

At this time I haven’t decided how I want to join all the squares, so feel free to drop a comment below if you’d have any advice. I might add a border to the squares later or maybe just sew them together. Who knows!

Don’t forget, you can buy an ad-free pdf of the written instructions for this pattern in my Ravelry shop.
