Hello again, how are you this week? I’m doing much better than I was last week. Last week I wanted to get a bit personal because I don’t know who’s reading these posts but I hope that if they see that I also struggle with anxiety and depression, maybe they’ll feel less alone. It’s so easy to feel seriously alone – there’s so much going on in the world, so much sadness and it’s hard to reach out and ask for help. You’re not alone <3
So, like I said before, I’ve been feeling good – I’m still stressed out but I am working on ways to manage that stress, which include doing what I can when I can and then accepting when I need to relax. I was talking about that on Instagram yesterday, the importance of taking time to yourself. I stayed in my jammies extra late yesterday and just relaxed with my Tunisian project. That little bit of time I took, before I had to get up and get responsible, was so very good for me – a great way to start my week. I feel better prepared for the week and in a good head-space for all my moving prep.
To change gears, this week’s pattern is another new TSAP square! Who’s loving this project? I know that not only am I enjoying the project and making these squares, but I’m loving seeing your projects on Ravelry. I’m so glad that so many people are into this, because I was so nervous – as a designer you can never tell how people will respond to your work & it’s very nervous-making. But I hope you all like this month’s design – it’s a bit simpler than last month’s but when I thought “March” I thought shamrock – it’s going to be St. Patrick’s Day here in the US soon & that’s where my head was. Next month’s design will be a bit more complicated so it’s a good reprieve too. 🙂
You can purchase an ad-free pdf of this pattern for $1.75 in my Ravelry shop. This purchase helps me to make patterns week after week.

Materials
- US H (5.00 mm) crochet hook
- Aran/ medium/ size #4 weight yarn
- 1.7 oz. / 86 yards
- 2 colors
- I used Caron One Pound
- Yarn needle
Gauge
Terms/stitches used
- RS: right side
- Ch: chain
- St: stitch
- Slip st: slip stitch
- Sc: single crochet
Notes
- This pattern is worked flat back in forth in rows, with a turn at the beginning/ end of the row, from the bottom up.
- This square measures about 7.5″ unblocked and will come out with 8″ with a sc border (explained below). The photos do not feature a border.
- The ch 1 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch.
- Every stitch in this pattern is a single crochet. The directions will only tell you what color (ie: Color A, Color B, etc…) and the number in the parentheses tells you how many scs to make.
- The use of bobbins like they did on Hodgepodge Crochet is suggested for this pattern.
- Your square may need some light blocking.
- You will need to know how to create a slipknot on your hook for this pattern.
- In the example, the inactive yarn is carried behind the active. If this is confusing, you might want to check out the helpful Moogly video on tapestry.
- Color A is off-white (Caron One Pound in Off-White) and color B is green (a miscellaneous green from my stash).
If you have any other join suggests or favorites, let me know!
