Happy Hooker Dance Party

Moogly

Did you see the new little graphic I updated here on my blog? Isn’t it cute? Due to my Sabrina scarf, which was pretty popular, I got the most clicked link on Moogly and My Merry Messy Life‘s fiber arts link party. So, I’m super excited!

Ok, so on other fronts something new I’m working on:

This cat! I haven’t finished the pattern just yet, as you can see, but it’s almost there. It will be in 4 parts, body, two feet and  a tail. It’s going to be super easy, rather like the Wendy owl pattern.

What do you think? I haven’t secured the feet just yet and added eyes but I’m happy with it so far. Look for this pattern soon! It will be another free one, as I hope everyone will be excited to use it for Halloween decorations.

Oh, and another pattern a super, super easy one too.

The breast cancer pink ribbon earrings:

So, do you crochet earrings? Do you happen to have a US 2.2 mm hook? How about a very thin spool of ribbon? Fabric stiffener? Jewelry findings like french hooks and jump rings?

French hooks (2)
Metal Jump Rings
Needle to weave in your ribbon ends

Assembly:
How easy is that? After row 2 you will be left  with just a long strip of crocheted ribbon and next you will need to weave in your ends and wrap the ribbon around to resemble  breast cancer awareness ribbons, I suggest using some sort of glue (I used fabric glue) to glue the pieces to each other – just don’t use super glue, it will darken your ribbon! Then stiffen the ribbons, using whatever fabric stiffener you have, to the shape you’ve made and let them dry completely. Attach findings and wear proudly. 😀

You know what! You could probably only make one and use it as a pendant, how nice would that be? 😀 I hope you guys enjoyed this pattern and share as well as use it. Don’t worry about just pink ribbons, go for ribbons in every color. I know I’d get some use out of yellow ribbons at least once, know what I mean? I mean I’m a Marine wife. 😀

Don’t want to make your own earrings? You can purchase them from my website for $8.50! And remember to find me on Facebook for opportunities to test patterns and share fun!
