Happy June/ Pride month friends!
Now that we’re officially in June 2026, it’s time to make a new Pride Month design. I love making them, as you know, and I wanted to make something fun and extra colorful this year with the Progress Pride Flag Wall Hanging. And I like how it turned out so much, I added more graphs you can see here – More Progress Pride Flag Wall Hangings.

If you’ve been around here in May or June you know I love a good Pride Month design. And year after year I feel like it is still vitally important to make and be loud about Pride, especially as Them posted on Instagram that support for LGBTQIA+ continues to drop in the US. That scares me, because we cannot go back. Be loud, be proud, and don’t let bigots bully you.

In a better direction, the Progress Pride Flag wall hanging like nearly all my other wall hanging patterns, is worked from the bottom up in rows of single crochet stitches. Using Stitch Fiddle I designed this pattern as a tapestry/ intarsia project – even though as I note in the Notes section below I made this is as almost entirely an intarsia design. For an intarsia project, I used separate skeins of color for the individual sections of color (picking them up and dropping them down the WS when not in use) and didn’t really have to carry and crochet over the yarn, because the color changes were just on stitch over. If you decide use bobbins for color work like this, be sure to work back and forth and not in a circle to try to keep the yarn from getting too tangled – here’s a video on Instagram showing what I mean.

Below the graph is available to view, that way if you’d like to make this as sc or hdc or dc you can do it… but you can also make it in C2C if you want to work the graph on a bias. And if you’d prefer you can knit, Tunisian crochet , and even cross stitch this design using the graph as well. It’s entirely up to you 😀 Just remember as you change your pick of stitch, it will kinda change the image a bit.

And in keeping with industry standards, if you’d like written instructions to this pattern you can pick those up in my Ravelry shop (it’s written in back and forth rows so it won’t help you with C2C). I separate patterns like this because I don’t make a ton off of patterns listed for free on my blog – I do have ads but with adblock type extensions, it’s not sustainable to make patterns with just ad revenue.

I do a lot of 6 color Pride inspired designs and thought this year it would be fun to make a more updated version of it. If you don’t know about the Progress Pride Flag or Intersex Inclusive Pride Flag (which I will admit is more of the inspiration of this one) I suggest you read up on it (here’s the Wiki on it just in case). I’m a firm believer in inclusion and solidarity in queer spaces and there would be no Pride month without Trans people. That’s just historically accurate.
I hope you like that pattern and remember to love and take care of each other. And don’t forget! During June I use the proceeds from the purchases of the pdfs and ad revenue to donate to The Trevor Project and Trans Lifeline. I also think that we should, when possible, move away from corporate Pride merch and instead make our own, keeping that in the community that supports us instead of the pockets of companies who turn their backs when the politics are no longer “popular.”

Please note: I was provided the yarn for this pattern by Lion Brand Yarn for the purposes of designing other patterns but I used the left over to make the Progress Pride Flag Wall Hanging pattern, without compensation. I wasn’t provided the yarn with the expectations of positive or negative reviews but both yarns are fantastic worsted weight yarns to have in my stash.
