Quad Connected Double Crochet How To

This is just a quick photo tutorial on how to make the quad connected double crochet that I use in my Sandra Cowl.

The rows before the quad connected dc you will work into only one side’s loops of the previous scs, that way the front of the piece looks textured like the photo above. You work your quad connected dc into the un-used loops.
Basic instructions: insert hook into the front loop only of the next st, yarn over and pull up a loop (2 loops on hook), insert hook into the front (un-used) loop of the stitch of the row below, yarn over and pull up a loop (3 loops on hook), insert hook into the front (un-used) loop of the stitch of the row below, yarn over and pull up a loop (4 loops on hook),  insert hook into the front (un-used) loop of the stitch of the row below, yarn over and pull up a loop (5 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook (4 loops remaining on hook), yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook (3 loops remaining on hook), yarn over and pull through 2 loops on the hook (2 loops remaining on hook), yarn over and pull through remaining 2 loops on the hook.
