Free Love Struck Beanie Crochet Pattern

Love Struck Beanie free crochet pattern by DivineDebris.com

Happiest of Tuesday wishes to you, friends! Now that it’s February, are you ready for Valentine’s Day patterns? I only have 2 for you this year and the first up is the Love Struck Beanie pattern, it’s a fun beanie that combines tapestry and texture to really make something fun.

Last month I released the Dancing Snowflake Beanie and I really loved the combination of tapestry and traditional crochet to create a fun and textured design. Of course, I knew immediately I wanted to do it again and when I started brainstorming for February I brought out my Tapestry Heart Basket for inspiration. Thus the Love Struck Beanie was born.

This design actually uses both tapestry, where I’m carrying the yarn, and intarsia, where I’m using bobbins (this is the arrow), to create the graphing section. Both techniques have great benefits and I like to used them pretty much interchangeably, because sometimes I don’t want to carry 3 strands of yarn through a beanie. Ya know?

And I know I say this every week but, this isn’t a hard pattern. It’s a lot of fun and you have so much opportunity to make lots of pretty pretty color combinations. I hope you give it a shot and wear it any time of the year, not just during February. We could all use more love, right?

Please note: this pattern was created in agreement with WeCrochet, who provided yarn support and payment.
