I’ve been here the whole time!
Any Dropout.Tv fans out there? Because about 10 months ago my husband and I discovered the YouTube channel for Dropout and our lives changed forever. And since the first episode of Game Changer, I knew I didn’t just want but needed to make a Loop De Loop Wall Hanging 🙂

There’s actually a new season of Game Changer and that motivated me to finally get this pattern (that I’ve been working on for months) released. Now that doesn’t mean if you’re not familiar with the Game Changer show you can’t enjoy this pattern. It’s still a fun design without the reference, if I do say so myself, that uses worsted weight yarn (maybe about 9 oz) for really has a fun abstract look. Personally, to customize the finished look, I used some soft and muted pastels for mine but you could make this with some really bold and bright colors to bring your own vibe to the design.

Like nearly all my other wall hanging patterns, the Loop De Loop Wall Hanging is worked from the bottom up in rows of single crochet stitches. Using Stitch Fiddle I designed this pattern as a tapestry/ intarsia project for people to customize as you’d like with colors in your stash. While I worked mine, I used intarsia the whole way trough – separate skeins of color for the individual sections of color (picking them up and dropping them down the WS when not in use) and then crocheted over some spots, like when I pulled up a new color a few sts away. If you decide use bobbins for color work like this, be sure to work back and forth and not in a circle to try to keep the yarn from getting too tangled – here’s a video on Instagram showing what I mean.

Below the graph is available to view, that way if you’d like to make this as sc or hdc or dc you can do it… but you can also make it in C2C if you want to work the graph on a bias. And if you’d prefer you can knit, Tunisian crochet , and even cross stitch this design using the graph as well. It’s entirely up to you 😀 Just remember if you change the stitch you use, it will kinda change the image a bit – hdc or dc will make it taller for instance.

And in keeping with industry standards, if you’d like written instructions to this pattern you can pick those up in my Ravelry shop (it’s written in back and forth rows so it won’t help you with C2C). I separate patterns like this because I don’t make a ton off of patterns listed for free on my blog – I do have ads but with adblock type extensions, it’s not sustainable to make patterns with just ad revenue.

I hope you like this pattern. I know it’s super sized (especially compared to the Mythical Mushrooms Wall Hanging from last month) but it’s absolutely worth it and will be so cool on your wall. I love how mine worked up and if people like this one, maybe I’ll add some more Dropout inspired patterns to my blog. 🙂

Please note: I was provided the yarn for this pattern by Lion Brand Yarn for the purposes of designing other patterns but I used the left over to make the Loop De Loop Wall Hanging pattern, without compensation. I wasn’t provided the yarn with the expectations of positive or negative reviews but both yarns are fantastic worsted weight yarns to have in my stash.

With color A (or any color you’d like), sc or sew your wooden dowel or stick to your wall hanging.
