Hi there!
I don’t know about you but wow, this month flew by. Maybe it feels like month has flown by for me because for the first time in a while I feel pretty inspired. I have like 4 wips right now (some are not very far but they’re existing) and I’m having a good time. And this burst of helped me to create this week’s new release – the Geometric Corners Wall Hanging.
I’ve actually been on quite a roll with wall hangings lately. The last few designs I’ve released have been wall hangings and each of them different from the last. The Anti-AI Wall Hanging, Simple Moon Phase Wall Hanging, and the Dumpster Fire Wall Hanging are so different and fun and after those, I decided it would be a fun idea to make another and go in another direct – geometric. And so I sat down to play around with colors, shapes, and yarn and boom, the Geometric Corners was born.
Like nearly all my other wall hanging patterns, the this design is worked from the bottom up in rows of single crochet stitches. Using Stitch Fiddle I designed this pattern as a tapestry/ intarsia project to be made with 2 colors. While I worked mine, I used a mostly intarsia – I used color A throughout and bobbins of color B when needed. I preferred to use bobbins the space between color B sections were too big for me to use a float. If you decide use bobbin’s for color work like this, be sure to work back and forth and not in a circle to try to keep the yarn from getting too tangled – here’s a video on Instagram showing what I mean.
Below the graph is available to view, that way if you’d like to make this as sc or hdc or dc you can do it… but you can also make it in C2C if you want to work the graph on a bias. And if you’d prefer you can knit, Tunisian crochet , and even cross stitch this design using the graph as well. It’s entirely up to you 😀 Just remember as you change your pick of stitch, it will kinda distort the image a bit.
And in keeping with industry standards, if you’d like written instructions to this pattern you can pick those up in my Ravelry shop (it’s written in back and forth rows so it won’t help you with C2C). I know talking about money makes people uncomfortable but I split up these patterns this way so that people do have an incentive to pick up the pdf, it helps me to keep making patterns here on my blog. I hope you understand.
I hope you like this week’s pattern. I have an idea to make this into a blanket too, because I love how the look turned out but it will be with bobbins! Oh I can’t wait to play around with it. And remember, this would look great in a variety of colors – a stash buster as always.
Do not make videos from my pattern, you don’t have permission even if this pattern is free.
Please note: I was provided the yarn for this pattern by Lion Brand Yarn for the purposes of designing other patterns but I used the left over to make the Geometric Corners Wall Hanging pattern, without compensation. I wasn’t provided the yarn with the expectations of positive or negative reviews but both yarns are fantastic worsted weight yarns to have in my stash.

- The odd rows are the RS.
- This pattern is worked from the bottom up, row by row with a turn at the beginning of the rows. Finally, after blocking, you sew it to a stick and add any finishing touches you’d like such as surface crochet or fringe.
- The ch 1 at the beginning of the rows does not count as a stitch.
- I worked this design using bobbins/ intarsia (as you can see on my Instagram profile). Feel free to adjust as you’d like to work this design.
- Blocking is suggested for this pattern.
- In the photos: Color A is tan (Sugar Cookie) and color B is green (Fern). Pound of Love by Lion Brand Yarn was used.

Geometric Corners Wall Hanging Crochet Pattern Graph
Key: Color A tan and color B is green. If you’d like written instructions for this pattern you can find them here in my Ravelry shop.
Begin with a ch 57 in color A, turn, and start in the 2nd ch from the hook. Each row begins with a “ch 1, turn” and all st counts are 56 sc. Looking for written instructions? Buy them here.
If you’re going to make the 2 layer fringe, you’re going to either want to make the first row with a foundation single crochet row or work into the back bumps of your foundation chain so that you have 2 loops left over for the fringe.
Fasten off, weave in all your ends. Block if necessary.
Top/ Hanging
With color A (or any color you’d like), sc or sew your wooden dowel or stick to your wall hanging.
For the hanger, ch 70 with color B (or any color you’d like) and tie the ends to the first and last sts on the final row of the wall hanging.
Fringe
Back Fringe (color B)
Cut 10 6″ pieces of yarn in color B. Loop them through the back loop (when the RS of Row 1
is facing you) in stitches that line up with color B on Row 2.
Front Fringe (color A)
Cut 56 5″ pieces of yarn in color A. Loop them through the front look (when the RS of Row 1
is facing you) all the way across.
Feel free to block your fringe so it lays flat
You can pick up written instructions for the Geometric Corners Wall Hanging crochet pattern in my Ravelry shop.
