Happy last week of June friends!
I know that this week’s pattern isn’t quite my Pride month vibe but it’s because I scheduled this design without thinking. That happens, ya know? And that way people have the opportunity to make a blanket any time of year. Not to mention, this new Diamonds and Arrows Bobble Blanket would be amazing in rainbows. Don’t you think?

I’ve been working on this blanket for a while. It actually started out as a 2 tone design, a bobble variation on the Geometric Corners Wall Hanging. But, unfortunately, that design did poorly so I had frog the blanket (less than half way done, so it’s not that big of a deal) and start over. Instead, this blanket is more inspired by the Bridget Bobble Blanket and I’m so happy with that, I like this version much more.

Now I’d say this pattern is like an advance easy (because the stitches are pretty basic) but it does require you to pay attention. Like, seriously, to write out the instructions I needed to use both | and * as repeat indicators and because of that, the instructions can be daunting to look at. It’s why I say this pattern is very engaging, it’s not a sit and mindlessly work on design (I have one of those coming for September, so no worries). If you would like a graph, please comment below and I can make that happen as well. I didn’t originally include that because I didn’t want this post to be even longer.

But, on the bright side, this pattern is worked in 1 piece, so there’s no seaming and planning. The rows are work back and forth, odd rows are just hdc stitches and even rows are bobbles and hdcs. • For the even numbered Rows 2 – 151 the instructions will only read the stitch and the amount of times you will make it, for example: “Hdc 3” or “Bbl 1” which means “hdc once into the next 3 sts” and  “Bbl once into the next st.” 
• Each row begins with a “ch 1, turn,” before you start working the row.
