Hello! Again, I never intend to allow so many weeks to go between me updating this blog,
but then life gets in the way… and here we are! So, what’s new with you? Me? Oh, I’ve had a lot of time on my hands because my husband is deployed, I may have mentioned that previously, so I’m trying to be as active and productive as I possibly can be. That’s why I’ve been putting together a whole line, which I’ve named the Michelle collection. It started out as a hat that I wanted to make. I love texture, I think I’ve also mentioned that in the past, so I wanted to make a hat with a lot of gorgeous texture.
After I finished the hat I thought how gorgeous this pattern would be fun to have in a scarf. I went with a nice long cowl so that one could wrap it over or wear it long, which is one of my favorite things about cowls. Then came the headband, followed by the bottle/can cozy and the shorter fashion cowl. I’ve got aspirations for wrist warmers/fingerless gloves and/or boot cuffs but I’m not sure. I’ve only made one type of wrist warmers and I think they were successful but I don’t know about the sizing. Perhaps I’ll have to do some Googling. 😀
I’m currently in the middle of the testing the headband, cowl, and hat then I will move on to the cozies and shorter scarf.
So, you know, I’m doing well and keeping busy. I’ve got some ideas for other projects and I’m going to keep working. Oh, I almost forgot! I posted a pattern for the Ida (granny square) necklace on my website. It’s free, if you’re interested. 🙂 You can find this post linked up to Hookin’ on Hump Day hosted by Moogly and My Merry Messy Life.
