Hello again! How are you doing this week? I’ve been so busy, I’m working on like a billion different patterns right now. One of them is a large project so I’m relaxing with smaller projects, which is how you can tell I have an addiction. I just can’t stop, ya know what I mean? I get an idea, I have to start working NOW and put down another active project. It’s fun, keeps me busy and out of trouble, so I’ll keep with it.
I hope that you’ve enjoyed all my Easter designs. I have had so much fun this year with the designs, what with all the eggs and carrots! As I’ve been all obsessed with tapestry lately, it’s made holiday celebrations that much funner for me to design. So, yeah, I do hope you liked this cozy and make one or two before Easter this weekend.
Happy holiday!

You can get a downloadable ad-free pdf of this pattern for in my Ravelry shop.

Materials:

  • US G (4.00) mm crochet hook

Gauge:

  • 17 rows x 16 scs = 4″

Terms/ stitches:

  • RS: right side (side that faces out)
  • Ch: chain
  • St: stitch
  • Slip st: slip stitch
  • Sc: single crochet

Notes:

  • This pattern is worked in the round, with a slip st into the first st from the last st.
    Ravelry link
  • The ch 1 at the beginning of the row does not count as a stitch.
  • You can replace the first row with a foundation single crochet row if you’d like to.
  • Following the first row, sc into the back loop only.
  • If you don’t work this pattern in the back loop only, it might end up leaning. You can block the finished item to make it lean less.
  • This pattern is worked from the bottom up
  • All of the stitches in this pattern are single crochets, because of this the sides portion (where all the color changes are) only tells you how many stitches to do in what color, this is what the number in the parentheses means.
  • Color A is yellow, color B is orange, and color C black.
  • You will need to know how to create a slip knot on your hook for this pattern.
  • Also check out this post about tapestry crochet from Moogly, it’s helpful.

Finished Measurements:
Height: 3.5″
Diameter: 4..5″

Wings:
Note: With the right side (when the face is facing you) you want the whole cozy facing up, as you would use it normally, but for the left you want the cozy facing down (point on the top is pointing toward the floor). Both wings are worked at it is written here, you just need to make sure the cozy is facing the correct way so they mirror each other.
