The Free Mushroom Landscape Mug Rug Crochet Pattern: One More Mushie

[Image description] Top down view of 3 Mushroom Landscape Mug Rugs on a wood grain background, 2 skeins of yarn can be seen at the top of the photo

I almost titled this post “Once More With Feeling” because I’m a goober and I love musical episodes but I thought to myself “that’s weird, don’t do that and you know you’ll just talk too much about musical episodes.” So instead of that I want to share with you the final mushroom design of 2022, this week’s Mushroom Landscape Mug Rug crochet pattern.

So… first off yes I do love musical episodes of tv shows. They’re messy, they throw off the season’s flow but they’re just so fun for me. I think they should be required for all tv shows, I don’t care what the show is. Law and Order? CSI? Abbott Elementary? Give me them all 😀 I don’t know why I like them, maybe it’s that they’re just so corny and it forces shows to have fun. I don’t know. Or maybe it’s that in my heart, I know that most actors are just theater nerds and many will love a good chance to dance and sing.

Secondly, yes this is the final mushroom design of the year. I said many months back on social media “this year will be a big year for mushrooms” and I feel like I was right. But this new one will be my 9th mushroom design (I think… I just did a quick count on Ravelry so I might have missed one) of the year and that’s not bad considering there are only 12 months in the year. That’s almost one a month. A good average I’d say.

Outside of that little achievement, this design is the sister design to my Sedona Cactus Mug Rug. I loved that one so much that I thought this would be a fun one to make in a similar vibe. It’s a pretty easy design (gotta have those graph working skills though) and such a great little stash buster. This time of year all I want to do is stash bust and plan for next year, so a pattern like this is really quite nice. Just make sure to keep your yarn attached to the skein and use both ends of yarn, that way you don’t have to carry the yarn across the coaster, and always change colors on the final pull though (it’s the cleanest).

Anyway, I hope you like this final mushie pattern. I hope to bring you more in 2023. And as always, remember to wear and wash your masks, be kind to your neighbors and yourself.

Please note: I was provided the Brava Worsted for this pattern by We Crochet for the purposes of designing the Mushroom Landscape Mug Rug crochet pattern, without compensation. I wasn’t provided the yarn with the expectations of positive or negative reviews but I always enjoy using this yarn, I’ve used it many times and it’s durable and colorful worsted weight yarn. If you purchase yarn through any of the links in this post, I will be compensated.
