Do you like April? I think it’s a delightful month, usually, but this year it’s getting pretty warm and we’ve got some beautiful flowers blooming but, oh my, that pollen is a lot. But at least there’s crochet, which you can do at home. Perhaps try out this week’s Lois Shawl crochet pattern.

So the inspiration behind this week’s design is a open and flowy pattern to go with the fact that April is now upon us. And I wanted to do the geometric increase/decrease look with this design. I like the blunt edges of the sections, which is why choose to add tassels to them. That at tassels make me happy.

Anyway, this design is really simple and I hope you like it. It’s a good palette cleanser for those days where you just don’t know what to work on or feel like working on much of anything. I’ve had many days like that lately and it’s nice to just kind of zone out and work. Ya know what I mean?

Oh, and fun fact! This shawl is lovely and dependable, but a little wild, which is why I named it after one of my favorite comic book ladies, Lois Lane.

This pattern is worked row by row, with a turn at the beginning of the row.
This pattern is broken up into 3 sections: the Increase Rows, Middle Rows, and Decrease Rows.
On the Increase Rows the chs rows will refer to chs at sts.
