The Free Cute Mushroom Coaster Crochet Pattern

[Image description] Top down view of the Cute Mushroom Coaster crochet pattern, with cakes of yarn arranged around the left side and a white woman's hand holding the bottom right corner.

Happy November friends! I sure hope your Halloween was a fantastic one with lots of candy and cute costumes. So… to kick of November I decided to release the Cute Mushroom Coaster crochet pattern first because it’s so cute and would make great holiday gifts.

However… I also had another reason to kick off this month’s patterns with this coaster – I have devised a bag design using this coaster and that will becoming next week. I haven’t posed many photos but you can see a little sneak peek of the seaming on this Instagram Reel. I was inspired to make the bag because I just love how the little mushroom turned out that I really wanted to make one of these coaster designs into something else. Of course, I had a few different ideas at first but a bag was almost too perfect.

Now you don’t have to make the bag I post next week, you can get as creative as you’d like and turn this little coaster into a blanket or a pot older or a scarf… you name it. It’s one of the reasons I really love to share and make these kinds of designs, they’re useful if you just make the little coaster or you can use the mushroom as a component of a larger design. So versatile, ya know?

Overall if you’re like me and you totally love a good mushroom design, I think you’re going to like this pattern a whole lot. And it’s so simple, you can practice your color work skills with it too. With only 2 for most of the design you can really learn how to change colors easily. You could even leave the white spots on the mushroom off and have it be even easier to make. Or you can explore some of my other mushroom patterns if you want indulge in some mushroom fun.

I really do hope you like this new pattern and give it a try. It’s fun and you could use it for so many things. Happy last two month’s of 2022! Remember to wear and wash your masks, be kind to your neighbors and yourself.
