Snuggle Up In Sherbet, the Sherbet Shrug Free Crochet Pattern

Sherbet Shrug, a free crochet pattern by DivineDebris.com

Happy last post of August everyone!
Wow, where did the time go? I feel like I blinked and it was just June but now we’re almost into Fall (can I get a yay!?). I’m not complaining about the Fall coming up. My brain is in complete Fall designs mode now, I want all things pumpkin, cozy, and delicious. That’s what this week’s design is for, I want that cozy life!

As I’ve been building my Sherbet Line this year, I knew I wanted to make a cozy shrug. This one is great because I made it with lighter yarn, so it’s going to work well for me while the weather isn’t as cold as I would like Fall weather to be (thanks SoCal). But if you decide to make it in worsted, you’ll definitely get so much more coziness from it. And this is a really easy pattern, you could adapt it to be longer (add stitches to the base row in multiples of 2) or wider (add more rows), make the sleeves longer by adding rnds, or even make the lapel larger by (again) adding some rnds. It’s really easy adapt as you would like. I hope you have fun with it. I did 2 colors but you could do this in 1 very rich purple and it would be amazing (I’m a big fan of purples, as you might know :D).

I’ve got a huge project coming to you next week, so I better go working on that post.

See ya next week! I hope you like this shrug.

-Securing-

To create the sleeves, stitch together the first 26 and the last 26 sts on the first row of the Body section. Flip your piece and seam together the first 26 and the last 26 sts on the last row of the Body section. (an example above where the seam is in blue)
Weave in your ends. Don’t snip the ends until you know if you’re going to have a gap from your sleeves.

I am also not able to find a Mary Maxim yarn called Simply Natural. What is the yardage on that yarn? I wrote to you earlier about how many skeins I needed to purchase. Thanks again. Cindy M

I do believe that Simply Natural has been discontinued by Mary Maxim and I didn't know the exact yardage of the skein so I looked it up on Ravelry and it appears to be 245 yds. I hope that helps

Pattern seems to be what I am looking for. However, I can not find a total quantity of yarn I need to purchase. I will most likely use a 3 weight. I will be using the measurements for a size 2x to 3x. I will probably use only 1 color.

Thank you in advance. Cindy M.

May I use worsted weight yarn?

Absolutely, yours will probably be a bit thicker and larger than mine :)
